International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) - 2021 Fellows - VPC was awarded one of 21 fellowships from 12 countries worldwide. Our proposed innovative concept focuses on using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for the integrated planning of hazard mitigation and risk reduction principles into existing jurisdictional planning frameworks and plans.
Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program - Class of 2018- The 10,000 Small Businesses curriculum focuses on embracing practices that increase business growth, offers practical skills and practical business education, provides access to capital, and presents a supportive network of advisors and peers. The Program is designed by Babson College, the nation’s top-ranked entrepreneurship school.
Leadership Howard - Class of 2015- Leadership Howard County offers programs to help develop and enhance leadership capabilities. The program provides what it takes for leaders to reach the next level through informative seminars, networking opportunities, and a community of graduates who are committed to making Howard County a better place.
Philanthropy
National Family Resiliency Center – The Center provides counseling and educational programs to help children and adults cope, heal, and navigate through family transitions.
The Melkote School is an elementary and middle school founded to promote basic education to the under-privileged and low-income families in a small town in Karnataka, India. The school offers PRE-K, Kindergarten, and grades 1 through 7 with a total of 210 students and 12 full time employed staff members. Children who were at risk of becoming child laborers are now receiving a quality education which prepares them for a brighter future.
